Thrive pasta sauce

Thrive tomato powder is one of my favorite Thrive products. Probably because I really don't like jarred pasta sauce but I'm too lazy to make homemade. I thought I would show how I make our everyday pasta sauce.

 

Thrive Pasta Sauce

1 cup Thrive ground beef

1 cup Thrive tomato powder

1/4 cup Thrive freeze dried onions

1/2 tsp oregano

1/2 tsp basil

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt

4 cups water

Simmer on stove top for about 20 minutes.

I actually use a spice from Penzey's called Pasta topping that has oregano, basil, garlic, and thyme in it, but just use whatever dried spices you have on hand.

This recipe makes about 5 cups of sauce that is generally more than our family of three needs for one dish. I half this recipe and put the other half in a glass mason jar for later. This is awesome for when I just need a little sauce at lunchtime or it will speed up dinner prep for next time.

Hollie and Drew got married!

Yay! How happy are you Hollie? The wedding was beautiful...food was awesome...Hollie looked amazing. It was the perfect wedding. Congratulations guys!

universal studios and anna maria island

ok, so i finally got the pics of anna maria island and universal studios from back in February. better late than never, right? here are some highlights.

Reagan Library

We drove up to the beautiful Simi Valley today and went to the Reagan Library. Very nice place...I highly recommend it for all Americans even democrats! ha!

They have AIR FORCE ONE! You get to go on it and everything. They used this plane until Bush No. 2.

They also have a replica of the Oval Office. That desk is the one John John Kennedy played under in that famous pic when Kennedy was President.

Real piece of the Berlin wall. I thought this was very cool.

Reagan's burial site. Such a beautiful place and very peaceful.

Lawry's THE prime rib

After a day of recovering from the game, Friday we went to a place in Beverly Hills called Lawry's Prime Rib. It is where the teams come and eat before the Rose Bowl.

They had the game balls displayed from when the teams were at the restaurant.

Matt ordered the same cut of meat that the players eat called "The Beef Bowl". Of course. He almost finished it too.
